State Information


Requirements for the state of: Arizona
  • Generally, both applicants must apply in person together, but there may be exceptions to this requirement.
  • You can obtain a license at the County Clerks' office.
  • Both applicants must be at least 18 years old to obtain a marriage license. With parental or guardian consent, the male must be at least 16 years old and the female must be at least 16 years old. Parental or guardian consent generally must be provided in person but there may be exceptions.
  • If either applicant has been married before, you may be required to bring Proof of Dissolution.
  • No medical exam is required.
  • There is no waiting period.
  • Once the unsigned license is issued it is valid for one year.
  • The unsigned license is good throughout the state.
  • The cost of a license is around $80.00 (as of 8/9/10).
